Yes, we have twitter accounts set up but aren't using them a whole lot b/c most ppl still aren't on twitter. We've tweeted some events and used it for announcements and devotional thoughts. But our facebook group has lots of ppl on it and it's SO helpful in getting the word out about things and communicating, creating ministry groups and ways teams can organize. It doesn't substitute for real "fellowship" (I prefer koinonia) but certainly enables some of that virtually, but more importantly, I think, aids in people's "networking" in real life with one another. It's a tool that helps disconnected people connect in real life easier and keep from being SO disconnected when they're not together physically.

I had to let me CC subscription expire--just needed to cut back on expenses. It's painful. :)
